Ugur Akkus group president of Sems Turk Kuwait-Turkey investment consulting company's that is the official consultant in Turkey has informed that they are planning to implement 3-4 big projects in the amount of 3 billion dollars in Turkey.

Ugur akkus that is the group president of Sems Turk Kuwait-Turkey investment consultancy company that is the official consultant of Kuwait Amir Seyh El Sabah el Ahmed  has informed that until now they have made an investment of 1.5 billion dollars and they are planning to implement 3-4 big projects in the amount of 3 billion dollars in Turkey.

Akkus in the comment that he has made to the AA correspondent that the company  had been established in year 1982 by his father Mahmut Akkus and his father  had established a company with partner in Kuwait that he   had gone for trade and   they had been mainly involved with the export of ready wear from Turkey to that region.

Akkus by stating that by the increase of business they had established textile production facility in the region and they have made export to Saudi Arabia and his father had established specific relationship with the royal family that had been involved with active trade until the Gulf war and a confidence had been constituted  among each other.

"They Would Like To Maintain The Welfare If The Fund And Petroleum Cease"

Akkus has  stated  that with the termination of war they have established Sems foreign trade in region any with the heading of Kuwait Amir El Sabah; the investments has been put into agenda again and the international investments has started very rapidly.

Akkus by stating that Kuwait Amir El Sabah has come to themselves by a proposal  in relation with investments and  he has  concluded as follows:

"Kuwait has a magnitude of 17 thousand meter squares and it is a country having a population of 800 thousand Kuwaitis. The remaining part of the population of 3 millions is workers and servants. The proven petroleum reserve is 110 billion barrels. It has been confirmed this will last approximately for another 100 years. For the purpose of establishment of welfare after the consumption of petroleum resources; the El Sabah family has established an investment found within Kuwait under the name of Kuwait administration. Each year by transferring the 10 percent of petroleum revenues to here; In case of ceasing of petroleum they are targeting to maintain the welfare by realization of investments all around the world.

"The Direction Has Been Fully Returned To Turkey And Neighboring Countries"

Akkus who has attracted the attention to the fact that the investments have been directed to different countries has concluded as follows." Previously it was over Europe and America. With the change of the conjuncture in the world Turkey is  a favorite country. By the new Amir taking over the government; the direction has been fully turned to Turkey and neighboring countries. We have been offered by the family to direct their investments to Turkey and whether or not we can render them consultancy service." We have constituted the structure and since the beginning of 2007 we are directing their investments within Turkey ".

Ugur Akkus recoded that they have made an investment of approximately 1.5 billion dollars in Turkey within 3 years and these are being constituted as immovable, estate, some portfolio purchases in Istanbul stock exchange and tourism investments and they would like to maintain the investments.

Akkus underlying that they had frozen many projects under investigation as a result of crises in 2009 has stated that they have started to put the projects into agenda at the beginning of 2010.

"By Cutting Off The Triangle We Are Trying To Invest From Gulf To Turkey"

Akkus who has stated that they generally want to eat ready cooked food from Gulf and therefore they are not the end investors and they prefer to purchase and afterwards to win money  and has continued as follows. "Until now the gulf capital has gone to America and Europe. After being processed in the banks there; it has come to countries like ours .From now on by cutting off the America-Turkey, London-turkey or middle east triangle  we are trying to make direct investment to Turkey from the Gulf. It is a very difficult thing but we are trying to adapt the region to this slowly".

Akkus concluded his speech as follows:

"At the moment there are 3-4 big projects in the amount of  approximately 3 billion dollars that we work on. We have been working for 2 years. In the investment of 3 billion dollars; the emphasis will be on the subject of estate…After the last year course changed to the Bosporus line. They have been focused on the city centers more intensively. In addition; by  the decline of energy and world finance and banking sector of year 2009 the banking sector as the banking sector in Turkey is very profitable… In energy we are interested in the hydroelectric power plants. Before banking agriculture was in the agenda. By stepping back in banking; they may mostly concentrate on agriculture. Everything in the Gulf is based on import. Turkey is in a situation to be the food store of the Gulf region within the coming years. The region that we intensify in agriculture is GAP. It may be in the way of partnership by purchasing the certain shares of the company which is involved in agriculture or by way of development by investing the existing ones. I think that the investment of 3 billion dollars will increase by the end of 2012. In 2010 we can make a surprise".

Akkus  having stated that Turkey will be the new Switzerland of the Middle East in the coming century has pointed out that the effects of the many  Turkish series being shown  in the region can be easily observed and the Turkish popularity is at top level. Akkus has continued that" they are giving the Turkish names to children. Due to the silver series the daughters are given the name "Nur". After issue on Gazza event they are giving the Recep name to newly born children".

Akkus that has emphasized that Turkish business men are very professional and in the status of world player has continued as follows:" Turkish goods is the same now as   the German goods of past…We are in the same way in textile. In past years we were here. The son of the sister of Kuwait Amir has made shopping for half and hour and h has bought a shirt. When I went there he told me that it was very beautiful and good quality and asked me to bring him 4-5 each more. The Turkish goods are preferred too."
