The Rail Infrastructure Products Factory that is launched by large German transport technology manufacturer Vossloh in Erzincan Organized Industrial Zone is inaugrated. Minister of Transportation Binali Yıldırım, Governor Abdulkadir Demir, Mayor Mehmet Buyruk, TCDD (Turksh Government Railways) Director General Süleyman Karaman, PTT Director General Osman Tural, Advisor to Ministery of Transportation Habip Soluk, Deputy Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs Hasan Naiboğlu, Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance Hasan Basri Aktan, General Manager of Vossloh Fastening Systems GmbH Peter Mertens, Vossloh AG Board Member Norbert Schiedeck and many other guests participated in inaugration of rail infrastructure products factory that is launched by Vossloh Group, a leading German company operating in rail infrastructure and rail technology market.
The inaugration began with a moment of silence and the Turkish national anthem, which is followed by a cinevision show that gave information about Vossloh Group's worldwide operations. Peter Martens, General Manager of Vossloh Fastening Systems GmbH, who informed the guests about operations of Vossloh Group, indicated that the factory launched in Erzincan covers 32.000 square meters and it is capable of producing 8 million rail infrastructure products per year in a production facility that covers 2700 square meters. In his speech, Minister of Transportation Binali Yıldırım referred to historical background of Turkish- German friendship. Yıldırım emphasized the fact that the friendship between the two countries dates before 100 years. He added: "Today, Germany, has the largest economy in EU and she also enjoys the best relations with Turkey. Approximately four million Turkish citizens live in Germany and there are more than 66 thousand entrepreneurs in the country. They produce for German economy and work for their own futures. Germany is Turkey's greatest trade partner. Trade with Germany makes up the largest portion of EU - Turkey trade. It is of great benefit to our country that Vossloh, a company that is as deep-rooted as Turkish- German relations, chooses Turkey, and especially Erzincan, a city that is at the heart of the country, to launch a factory." After the speeches, board members of Vossloh gave presents to Erzincan protocol based on the importance of the occasion. Minister of Transportation Binali Yıldırım gave Erzincanspor uniforms to German board members.
