Foreigners can apply for work permit online |

Preparations for online application continue. Thanks to Automation Project, work permit applications will be available online. As a result of the projects initiated by Ömer Dinçer, Minister of Labor and Social Security, a new procedure regarding the work permit for foreigners will be introduced. Thanks to the General Directorate of Labor-Work Permit for Foreigners Project conducted by Ministry of Labor and Social Security, applications of work permits for foreigners will be online in a few months.
The Automation Projects aims at shortening the bureaucratic process, accelerating the decision making process, enabling the applicant to follow each step of the procedure and actuating the process through e-document flow and online archive. Process and Execution The following procedures will be implemented and advantages will be gained after the project is in effect: Throughout the project transition period, the applicants will make their applications on any computer and submit the requested documents through e-mail or deliver them by personally to the Ministry. - After the integration with the institutions, exchanging information will be available online and the applicants will be informed about the application results via e-mail and other means of communication as well as official correspondence.
- The operations conducted by the General Directorate of Labor-Department of Work Permit for Foreigners will take place on www.turkiye.gov.tr website within the scope of e-Government and become a part of shared database.
- "Single use password" and mobile signature will be used within the framework of Automation Project.
- For the foreigners who obtained a work permit in Turkey, online application forms conforming with the EU norms and standards as well as TurkStat (Turkish Statistical Institute) standards will be transferred directly to the online database and an online archive will be created. This database is created through improving the data process, interrogation and analysis infrastructures of the Ministry. It will provide updated and secure information.
- As the counseling correspondences will be made via web service, other communication instruments and inter-system integration device, the bureaucratic process will be shortened and stationary and unnecessary expenses will be avoided.
Common database and information sharing will provide the opportunity to compare the data on the Turkish workforce market and foreigners working in Turkey.
