Environment Friendly Factory Of Schnedier Electric Is Opened In Manisa E-mail

ImageBeing built on a 73 thousand square meter area in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone (MOSB) by Schneider Electric, the giant facility has been opened with a ceremony, attended by Taner Yıldız, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

A small bazaar, where organic products produced in Manisa were sold, was established in the factory site within the context of the ceremony, performed by protecting the environmentalist manipulations.  Foundations of the factory, designed as an environment friendly, were laid in the year 2009. Schneider Electric CEO Jean Pascal Tricoire, local directors, representatives of the business world and vendors attended the opening of the factory, which will spend 30 percent less energy compared with its similar. The investment amount of the factory, for which 15 million euro was spent at the first step, will be increased depending upon the growth rate every year.

Speaking in the opening ceremony of the factory, Minister Taner Yıldız expressed that Turkey has formed a tremendously convenient basis for the international investments with its economic growth and political stabilization especially within the last 7-8 years. Relaying that he was in Mexico the week before and that meetings were held with the participations of ministers of 65 countries, private sector representatives, representatives of G8 and G20 countries, authorities of the establishments such as World Energy Agency and OPEC; Yıldız spoke as follows: "The main question of the said meetings was how the energy problem would be solved. Establishments such as Schneider Group try to generate solutions regarding the problem of production with natural gas and petroleum base, at least, partially harming the world and at the same time they offer systems which are able to make the environment clean. Additionally; those systems gain their financial needs from the savings they had already made in themselves. This model is the most fundamental mentality of the sustainable clean energy system.

Noting the fact that the renewable energy goals of Turkey was ahead of European Union, Taner Yıldız stated the following: '20 percent of energy resources will be renewable by the year 2020. Carbon and sulphur swinging originating from the energy production will be decreased by 20 percent. We will be performing our energy policy by deploying all of our local resources such as sun, wind, water, geothermal and biomass until the year 2023, that is to say, 100th establishment anniversary of Turkish Republic. The investment of Schneider gains importance also in terms of the said aspect.'

Additionally; specifying the fact that Turkey makes investments with their beliefs in the future of themselves, Schneider CEO Tricoire spoke as follows: 'Turkey will be the global production centre and export base with its Manisa factory.' Setting down that the year 2010 would be heavy investments year for themselves, Tricoire explained that the number of employees which was 200 for that time would increase to 2 thousand until the end of the year. Stating that the energy savings and employment of renewable resources were inescapable, Tricoire said: 'We, as Schneider Electric, enable companies' supply of energy productivity at optimum levels. This is tremendously important because more than 41 percent of electric is spent by industrial and commercial buildings. Mentioning that the factory established in Manisa was their most important reference where solutions offered by their company were implemented one-to-one, Tricoire underlined the fact that their contribution to the reduction of energy productivity and carbon swinging was implemented in the said factory. Additionally; emphasizing that the environmentalist implementations in Manisa factory provided energy savings reaching 30 percent, CEO Tricoire spoke as follows: 'Our exports to a very wide geography from North Africa to South America together with many European countries would be from the said factory. We will be putting 50 million euro-investment plan into practice within the next three years in Turkey. When all of the investment stages of the new factory are completed, we aim to reach a business volume, three times the present one. We aim to add value to the economy of Turkey with the investment in our factory supplying its energy from sun and accordingly the employment provided by the said means. Besides; we feel pleased of our contributions to the sustainable life and the green environment.'

Minister Yıldız and Tricoire pressed the button and brought the factory into service after their speeches and later on, Yıldız took information during his visit in the factory with the authorities.

Schneider Manisa Factory Attracts Attentions With The Environmentalist Implementations Of The Energy

There are lightening with energy analyzers, compressive air, heating and cooling systems, systems tracing and saving energy and power quality continuously in order to prevent the energy loss in the factory. When a reduction is felt in the air quality, fresh air system becomes a part of an activity with the help of the carbon dioxide sensors. There is a clean, efficient, and sustainable solar energy system which is a Schneider electric product integrated with the network in the security building. Stored rain water is used in the irrigation of green areas. One fifth of totally 73 thousand square meters factory was constructed as green area. Wastes are sent to the related places by being resolved according to their types with resolving and collecting sections established on a 440 square meters area for the recycling of wastes.
